Why Aren't You Taking New Coily/Kinky/Natural Clients?

Being in this industry for over 30 years has taken its toll. my finger joints become inflamed (arthritis) lasting up to three weeks in pain when I do a Wash N Go. It's not the cut--I love cutting natural hair! It's the sectioning during the wash. Because of the thoroughness in which I do my craft, it takes me approximately 3 hours. I used to make and sell jewelry, but had to stop that too. This is the reason I have been referring clients.

Why Aren't You Cutting Really Long Hair?

 

Essentially, my finger joints become inflamed lasting up to three weeks in pain. This can happen from one long haired client. Because the hair has been on the head for approximately 6+ years, it becomes very tangled and dry. Most long haired women receive a hair cut every few years, making it even worse. My fingers catch on the hair and pull on the joints. Five years ago I decided to execute this rule and it has really preserved the health of my hands.
